The short version
Every HeyGF.ai girlfriend comes with a written backstory, moods and boundaries, so a chat starts from a character rather than a blank prompt. She sends voice notes, photos and short videos on request, and every paid plan includes unlimited messages. It is realistic only, and photos and video spend a monthly coin allowance, which is where heavy users hit the limit.
- Pick it if
- People who care more about who they are talking to than how many sliders the creator has.
- Skip it if
- You want anime characters, or the cheapest plan. Candy.ai is $3.99 a month on its annual plan.
What is HeyGF.ai?
HeyGF.ai is an AI girlfriend app where each companion is written by people, with her own backstory, personality and boundaries, and you chat with her, trade voice notes, call her, and ask for photos and short videos.
How HeyGF.ai works
- Pick one of the handcrafted girls, or build your own: looks, body type, personality, voice and backstory.
- Chat free up to a daily message limit once you sign in with an email. No card is needed.
- Subscribe for unlimited messages and a monthly coin allowance, which you spend on the photos and videos she sends on request.
The good
- Every girl has a written backstory, moods and boundaries
- Unlimited messages on every paid plan
- Voice notes and calls, plus photos and video on request
- Build your own girlfriend, voice included
- Prices published before you sign up
The bad
- The free tier is 30 messages a day, with no photos or video
- Photos and video spend coins, so heavy visual use needs a bigger plan
- Realistic only: no anime characters
- Parts of your chats go to third-party AI providers to generate replies
